Does your congregation have a desire to enhance an existing ministry in the community, but doesn’t know how to get started?
EHF continues to offer the Holy Currencies Ministry Incubation program, in partnership with the Kaleidoscope Institute, to help congregations build relationships with communities and launch or expand efforts to strengthen community health and create sustainable outreach ministries.
Up to six congregations will be accepted into the cohort and supported by EHF and Kaleidoscope Institute staff to learn and apply the Holy Currencies model to incubate a specific outreach ministry. The cohort will begin in September 2022, with formal training concluding in January 2023. At the end of the six-month cohort process, congregations will have developed a ministry plan for sustainable community partnership, including a roadmap for building relationships, exploring community partnerships, and building congregational leadership.
The Holy Currencies Ministry Incubation process includes the following:
Application: Deadline to submit application to EHF has been extended to June 1, 2022 (Apply Here!)
Orientation: Congregational teams will attend a pre-orientation webinar to familiarize participants with the overall process and expectations. All teams will then gather for an in-person orientation to begin the Holy Currencies program to focus on the currencies of Gracious Leadership and Relationship. (September 30-October 1, 2022 at The Retreat at Artesian Lakes)
Site Visitation: Each team will receive a site visit in their community early in the incubation program by a consultation team (Kaleidoscope and EHF associates), to learn more about your church and its ministries, and to establish coaching relationships.
Four Webinars: Each congregational team is required to attend four, two-hour webinars over the six-month period covering the currencies of Time and Place, Truth, Wellness, and Money. The webinars will be held on Tuesday evenings beginning at 6pm.
Ministry Development and New Plan: Between each webinar, the church team will be required to complete five preparation assignments engaging the team and congregation in a discernment process. The completed assignments will create a “business ministry plan” that strategically leverages the currencies, increases sustainability, and strengthens community connection.
