EHF Mental Health Learning Network Series | November 2023

In 2023, the Congregational Engagement Team will offer a virtual Mental Health Learning Network Series to support congregations as they promote mental health in their communities. The Learning Network is the next step for Episcopal congregations looking for imaginative ways to connect, deepen strategies for promoting mental health and well-being, and gain experience using virtual meeting platforms to invite meaningful conversation.
The sessions will have two primary goals:
1) Increasing participants’ knowledge related to mental health and well-being, particularly through the lens of social justice; and
2) Building connections across congregations in Texas with similar interests in promoting congregational and community well-being.

This session is intended to be a vital step in acknowledging and addressing the systemic disparities that persist in our communities and society. Critical towards building bridges, fostering belonging, and encouraging community wellbeing, discussions about DEIB are paramount to our collective healing. Together, we aim to navigate the complexities and intersectionalities of faith, race and DEIB efforts.
Krystal Grimes, M.S., LPC is the Chief Strategist and Founder of AMMA Empowerment Services, LLC and the HEAL Alliance. Krystal is recognized regionally and internationally as a safe space creator and mental health strategist. Through an intrinsic ability and desire to support others, Krystal has positioned herself as a local convener and facilitator for healing and diversity initiatives, supporting the creation of inclusive and brave spaces for dialogue and innovation.
