AFTERNOON SESSIONS | 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
- Workshop #3 – Rooted. In Gathering: The Wellspring is a Vision for Arlington’s Future and a Church Centered on Neighbors
- All Souls in Arlington asked themselves the question, “Why are we using a 1960’s model of church in 2023? Square pegs, round holes…” Not because they were particularly ingenious, but because they were backed into a corner. The result is a fundamentally different way of being the church, in an authentic, faithful manner that is bringing health to the community and themselves. This workshop will introduce you to our community engagement discernment process, invite you to reimagine the role of the church in the community, and leave you with possibilities.
- Speakers include:
- Gloria Bender, Arlington Center for Community Engagement (ACCE)
- The Rev. Kevin Johnson, All Soul’s, Arlington
- Workshop #4 – Rooted. In Understanding Privilege and Unpacking It (see Workshop 2)
