In Common is an opportunity to be inspired, gain new skills, and share hopes for building bridges and getting to know our neighbors. EHF and community partner organizations will share resources that can help congregations understand their communities better, identify their community’s needs and assets, and take action for positive transformation.
Join us to meet clergy, lay leaders, parishioners, and community partners across the Diocese to share stories and lessons learned, and build relationships for future work.

The Episcopal Health Foundation will continue to take action to make health and health care services accessible, support key elements of healthy communities, and leverage health policies to improve health. Through these established action areas, we’re also excited to announce that the foundation’s next chapter will focus on critical game-changing priorities: maternal health, food/nutrition security, maternal health, and diabetes prevention. Learn from Foundation staff about the state of these health issues in our diocese and begin to imagine how your congregation can make an impact.

1 PM Three Engaging Workshops:
Community engagement enables a two-way interaction process between you and the communities you serve so that communities have a role in the planning and decision making. Come learn more about the Activating Community Voice (ACV) program and how it may help your congregation and community partners create a plan that can help you meet and understand the community before you start trying to be of service.
How can I work with my church to educate voters in a non-partisan way? What can my church do to help my community exercise their right to vote? Together we’ll learn how to build relationships that expand our outreach and connect your congregation to the community through voting.
Addressing food insecurity with a twist! In this workshop you will hear from churches that reimagined what a food pantry could be through engaging their community. Come and hear efforts by local congregations that have enhanced or changed their community by taking a different approach to food security.
