In “Aggregated Precision Investment: Strengths, Weaknesses, and Potential Paths Forward,” the authors from Leavitt Partners explore the feasibility of operationalizing an aggregated precision investment (API) model for social determinants of health (SDOH) interventions. The authors derive their findings from subject matter expert interviews, conversations with potential aggregators, and relevant secondary research.
This article enumerates the perceived strengths and weaknesses of the API model, examines the capabilities of the aggregator, and outlines potential paths for operationalizing the model. The API model was first introduced in a Health Affairs Forefront article published in June 2021 called, “Social Determinants of Health: Aggregated Precision Investment” by Rebecca Nielsen, David Muhlestein, and Michael O. Leavitt.
